The Ice Carved Cliffs of Garbh Choire

The splendid Garbh Choire is one of the remotest and finest corries in Scotland. With two of the best rock climbs in the Cairngorms, it is also an irresistible challenge to mountaineers.

Squareface is a huge buttress of rough granite whilst Mitre Ridge is a 200m high black wall culminating in a series of fine towers.

Above Garbh Choire lie the summits of Ben Avon and Ben a' Bhuird, whilst below is the remote valley of Upper Glenavon.
