Upper Glenavon

Upper Glenavon is gateway to the remote and mountainous hill country of the North Eastern Cairngorms.

Salmon leap in the Lynn of Avon, Red Deer and Mountain Hare browse on purple heather moors, whilst Golden Eagle soar overhead. This is the Cairngorms at its best.

To the west is Loch Avon. To the south are the high arctic plateaux of Ben Avon and Ben a' Bhuird and the climbers playground of Garbh Choire. To the north is the stunning Ailnack Gorge.
