Why not take advantage of the services of a guide to help you discover the diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Glenlivet and the Cairngorms?
Guided walks are available throughout the year on a variety of themes including wildlife, whisky, the natural world, rare farm breeds and the lives and times of former inhabitants of Glenlivet. Many of these are low level walks that do not require a high degree of fitness.
Or hire a fully qualified mountain leader to guide you safely onto the arctic plateaux and high tops of the central Cairngorms - one of the most challenging and rewarding walking environments in the United Kingdom.
Why not visit during the second week of September for the Tomintoul and Glenlivet Walking Festival. Spectacular walks in the Cairngorms National Park will be on offer for all ages and abilities. Each day there will be 2 - 3 walks and 2 mountain bike journeys covering many summits including Ben Macdui, Ben Avon, The Cromdales and Ladder Hills. Talks, informal social events, a dinner and ceilidh will be laid on in the evenings.
